in area-Kalamitsi Amigdali, GreeceThe town has a lovely cafe/ reataurant run by a lovely greek couple. There only do a small choice of foods but what she does is excelent and very good value. It is a traditional taverna frequented by the locals (always a good sign!). Georgiopoli is only 8 minuites away where there is a lovely beach a huge variety of bars and restaurants, Kalyves and Almirida are to the north, a little further away but both lovely towns with stunning beaches. Chaia is 35 minuites away and Rethymno is 25 minutes away where ther are lots of supermarkets including Lidl and also a go cart place if you want a bit of action.
Kournas Lake is only 10 minuites away, a wonderful place to go and relax, to eat by the lakeside or go out on a pedalo
