Villa Kamares is a traditional stone villa situated in the heart of the quaint fishing village of Panormo, close to Rethymno on the north coast of Crete. The villa is situated in a fantastic location, everything you need is just outside, round the corner or only a very short walk away including beaches, mini-markets, excursion offices and a good selection of bars, cafes and tavernas. This listing is for our first floor Helios apartment.

The space
Helios apartment is located on the first floor with one double bedroom with a king size bed and one main shower room. A sofa bed in the living area pulls out into a double sofa bed. Helios has a hand made wooden kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, kettle and toaster, washing machine, utensils etc. A sun terrace is accessible from the upstairs kitchen, this is a large space with views of the sea, a dining table for 6 people under a pergola (sunshade), barbecue and four sunbeds.

Local people live in the village alongside tourists and are so friendly and welcoming. A holiday in Panormo really is a lovely, relaxing experience. Two beaches are just a few minutes walk around the corner, there are three mini markets, three excursion offices and a good selection of tavernas and cafe bars also just a few steps from Villa Kamares.

Travel Details from the host -> Hi, we are Laura & Chris, a married couple with children from a small coastal town on the East Yorkshire coast of England. Like most couples we dreamed of owning a home abroad and began looking for our ideal place. We stumbled across Panormo, Crete quite by accident and fell in love with the village and its people and soon found our dream property in the heart of the village, our own piece of paradise. We enjoy our lives in the UK and Crete, spending time with our family and friends, as well as sailing, walking and sightseeing. We have a wide taste in cuisines and are always willing to try something new. We enjoy local Cretan food the most due to the intense flavor the land gives the food as it is growing, flavors we think are beyond comparison (my mouth is watering now as I write this!)
