Hello! I'm Melody. I am originally from Miami, but have been in living in New York City for 13 years. I guess you can say I am a New Yorker now! In the past few years I have started to travel and I love it! I cannot believe the amazing people that I have met and the things that I have seen. My friends would describe me as a funny person who likes to laugh a lot and has a great sense of adventure. I love to eat and can tell anyone the best places to eat in NYC, especially if you are on a budget. I speak Haitian Creole and very advanced Spanish and French as well. I'm first generation American. My parents are from Haiti, Jamaica and China so I feel like I carry a lot of warmth and care with me. That's the kind of host I am. I like everyone who stays with me to feel like they are at home, they are comfortable and having a god time. On the other end of that, I am very respectful as a guest. I know what a gift it is, when someone opens their home to you. I treat the space I am in with care. A life motto...hmm? I guess, treat others the way you would like to be treated is a definite number one and maybe something about never giving up like "I'd rather be sorry than safe". Just going after your dreams really and never giving up hope that you'll get what you want out of life.
