Neighborbood Overview:

The neighborhood is very residential and quiet for New York. Most night life and bars and cafes and restaurants are accessible, but this immediate neighborhood is mostly families and corner stores. Kava Shteeble, Father Knows Best, Sunrise Sunset, and The Platform are cool little coffee shops nearby. The closest bars are Petra, Father Knows Best, The Evergreen, Sunrise Sunset and Salud. There is a Key Food grocery store a few blocks away but if you're up for the short subway ride, I'd suggest Mr. Kiwi at Myrtle/Broadway. It's got the cheapest produce I've ever seen and fresh pressed 12 oz juices for $4.
