Neighborbood Overview:

The neighborhood is primarily residential, although it is only one block away from the subway station that takes you to Manhattan in 25 minutes. This area has a primarily Caribbean population, where I have recently moved. We are very close to Prospect Park, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and the Brooklyn Museum.

For medical students, the house is very close to Kings Hospital (about 10 minutes walking), SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center (20 minutes walking), and Brookdale Hospital Medical Center (25 minutes by bus).

Free street parking is available.

In terms of security, New York is not the safest place, and especially as a tourist, you need to be cautious. However, nothing has ever happened to me or any of my guests while living in this area.
