Although Kolonaki is regarded as the most glamorous and quite areas in Athens, is located in walking distance from most attractions, museums, shops and places to be explored. The main attraction would be ofcourse the Lycabettus, cable car. Is just 2 minutes away, and the view is just breathtaking. About 50 meters away is Patriarchou Ioakeim street, a beautiful road full of shops and bars that takes you to Kolonaki Square. From there National Garden, Monastiraki, Ermou Street, and even Acropolis is few minutes by foot. We always recommend to walk, and explore Athens center by foot. And don't forget, Kolonaki is probably one of the safest areas in Athens. No matter what time you want to go out, even late night or early morning is as safe as mid day.
