The 14th arrondissement of Paris, and Montparnasse in particular, rose to fame between World Wars I and II when bohemian artists, writers and expatriates flooded the area. Montparnasse was the playground of the lost generation of the 1920s and '30s, as well as the post-WWII artists and expats —and the bohemian spirit lives on today. Right around the corner enjoy shopping at the "boutiques stock", or designer outlet stores on the rue d'Alésia.

The apartment is on the corner of rue de Gergovie and rue du Moulin Vert.
