Cute little apartment in Bastille, in the very atmospheric neighbourhood around Place d'Aligre.

Around the corner from the fresh food market Place d'Aligre, where you can pick up great cheap fresh food to cook yourself a lovely meal. Less than 10min and you'll arrive at the Bastille. There are lots of bars nearby a Michelin restaurant just downstairs, along with cheaper restaurants too.

The whole apartment is offered including a nice comfortable queen bed as well as a fold out couch (a good one, not an uncomfortable one that hurts your back). You can use the kitchen to cook and there's a washing machine (no dryer) to wash your clothes. Take some time to explore the area. The "Nul Bar" across the road is fantastic and Julian and Luke, the barmen are very nice. The best Pizza is at “Pink Flamingos” on the Rue d'Aligre, one street away, where you will also find a fresh food market 6 days a week (Tue-Sun) from early o'clock until 1:30pm. Cafe Aruba, also on Rue d'Aligre is the best coffee around, and the girls there are very friendly. If you miss the morning market, the covered market is open in the afternoons, and as well as fresh fruit and veggies, also have excellent cheese, Belgium beers, delicatessens, Italian specialists, florists, cream and more. There are a number of supermarkets in the area if one can't find what they are looking for at the market including Franprix (Place D'Aligre) or Monoprix (Rue de Faubourg Saint Antoine/ Ledru Rollin, next to the metro) or a Marks and Spencers for English delights (Ave Ledru Rollin) and bio stores Naturala (Rue d’Aligre) or Bio’bon (Ave Ledru Rollin). Travel Details from the host -> I'm a photographer that loves to travel the world. I think the most interesting place I have ever been would be Zanzibar off the East African coast. It's a wonderful place with such a mix of cultures, making it a melting pot of Africa, the west and the east. I guess I'd say my motto is "Je ne sais pas où je vais, oh ça je l’ai jamais bien su - Mais si jamais je le savais, je crois bien que je n’irai plus".
