Part of what makes this region so unique is the number of small family run brewpubs that dot the countryside. This particular area is blessed with great rural scenery which passes through some pretty small villages. During Brewing Heartland Hiking Experience in Germany, you'll experience a part of Bavaria rarely seen by tourists as you hike the 10 miles through the heart of this brewing paradise. The brewpubs are from another time, simple but of great value. Regional specialties like Geräuchertes (smoked ham) go perfectly with the the very much local brews, often served via gravity dispense by the brewer himself. These are beers you're not going to find back home and they'll have you pining for them once back there. There are a variety of routes so please inquire about the length of each.
