The space
A wonderful house with the best view of Anidri village towards the sea and Paleochora bay. The house was named Caminada which was its name during seventies. The reason being, the amazingly privileged location of the house and the land around it (Caminada means "chimney" in Greek), on the top of the hill of the village of Anidri. In the old days, the original owner, a renown musician of the area, would play his lyra for the whole village almost every night.

The house dates back to the beginning of the 1900's and we have made an effort to keep most of its initial features, building in all the necessary amenities for our guests, friends and family.

Travel Details from the host -> We are Johanne, Benoit, Alexandra, Maya and Nicholas (from left to right in the photo !). We are great friends living in Athens and Brussels. Caminada is our little piece of heaven. We spend as much time as we can here, and we’re very happy to share it with family and friends. Caminada means chimney in Greek. It’s located on the top of the mountain of the little village of Anidri (Ανύδροι), close to Paleochora (Παλαιόχωρα). We discovered it as a ruin in 2012, and rebuilt it to make it the most cozy place ever to stay on the south side of Crete. In Caminada, you face the sea by day, and a trillion stars by night. The house is separated in two levels. On the ground floor, there is a one bedroom place, with an open kitchen and living room, a bathroom with shower and a covered terrace. One the top level, you’ll find a two bedroom place with separated kitchen, living room, a bathroom with shower and a huge terrace, partially covered. Both levels of the house have access to the garden and to a covered terrace with stone benches.
