Ours is a comfortable apartment for family trips, business or a fancy weekend in Brussels. With a lot of space, appliances, nearby shops, galleries, bars and cinemas. And a great view over the city.

The space
The apartment is on 7th floor and overlooks a playground in a nice 1969 concrete building near Place Fernand Coq. It has a main bedroom for a couple, a children bedroom with a bulk bed and toys for 4-year-olders, a fully-equipped kitchen, a narrow, long balcony, hi-fi, wifi, a large shower and a beautiful white cat you'll need to feed and possibly pet.
We only let the apartment when we are away: it's a lived place and as such you'll live in our own environment, which is not a standard, anonymous setting. It is sparkly cleaned on Fridays (12-4pm).

We can provide sheets, towels, maps & advice.
You can use it for meetings on daytime, but not for parties or night activities. Smoking ok inside or on the balcony.

Ixelles is a lively neighbourhood just outside of the city centre. It has its own centre, as Brussels is an agglomeration of neighbourhoods. You'll find easily daylife and nightlife.

A few suggestions for groceries and food:
On Place Fernand Coq you'll find Renard, one of the best bakeries in town. Do try the 'croute banane' (banana pastry).
In front of it you'll find a nice, cheap place for fruits and vegetables, Turkish and Italian products.
On the same square there is also a good halal butcher, an organic shop, cafés and restaurants.
An old-fashioned, cheap supermarket is LIDA, Rue de la Tulipe towards the Fernand Coq square (https://goo.gl/maps/qHmsWEUuvBB2).
Other supermarkets, also open on Sundays, are 5-min away on Chaussée d'Ixelles, on in front of the other (https://goo.gl/maps/Y76mWcDqu9q).
In the neighbourhood you'll also find a Picard (frozen food), LIDL, ALDI, DelHaize Hennin (largest supermarket), BelgoMarkt (local products).

Travel Details from the host -> I'm Carlo, 37 years old. I've grown up in Bologna, Italy, then I've been living in Brussels since 2002. I am an architect and a student/researcher. I love visiting cities, speaking different languages, looking for bookstores and hopefully good venues. I'm clean, caring and respectful of people and their things.
