Neighborbood Overview:

Having lived in Paris for 20 years, I keep rediscovering the city every day. I will be glad to point you in the right direction towards those neighborhoods that offer the most. The Marais - where the apartment is - is one such neighborhood.
The apartment is surrounded by some of the best Parisian restaurants, bistros - of which one of my favorites is right across the street - bars and clubs, artisanal crafts-men and women, Renaissance architecture, art museums and galleries and supermarkets.
And the thing about Paris as a whole is that there are great places to discover everywhere. I would recommend to either do some research on the internet or to plain and simply do it the old way: walk around.
The best advice I can give you about Paris is to see how you feel in the morning and what you want to do, pick a place on the map, and just go.
