Neighborbood Overview:

My apartment is located in the city center, at 5 min walk from Le Bon Marché and 10 min walk from Les Invalides and Montparnasse. It is very well located for tourism, you can easily walk to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Seine riverbank, the Grand Palais etc. Plus, these walks are really nice, on one side you have grand avenues with Haussmanian buildings and on the other, toward St Germain des Prés, you get lost in little streets full of animation.
My apartment is located Rue de Sèvres which is full of grocery stores and little local shops like fromageries (Quatrehomme is one of the best in Paris), boulangeries, patisseries, boucheries and even an italian traiteur. And if you are looking for fancier products you can walk a little down the street, to the Bon Marché and its amazing Grande Epicerie where you will find quality products from all around France and Europe.
The neighbourhood is one of the safest in Paris, I have lived here all my life and never had any problem.
