These are traditional Russian nesting dolls, designed similar to the first nesting dolls created in the late 19th century in Russia. Like the originals, the Semenov nesting dolls are carved from a single piece of wood, broken down into pieces. It is then Hand Carved and hand painted.

These Hand Carved beauties are made of linden wood, gouache and lacquer, and are imported from Russian artisans.
