The house is nestled between vineyards on one side and olive trees in the other. It has two apartments, each with private entrance. I am renting the ground floor apartment which is also the biggest one. I live in the other one during the winter and only occasionally in the summer. Four people can sleep in the apartment, two in their own room and two on the pull-out sofa in the living room.
You can enjoy the best view of the village, the Lassithi mountains and the magic sunrise.

The space
I’d like to welcome you to my own little secret paradise in the quaint Cretan village of Katalagari. Located in the middle of the region known as “Wine Roads of Heraklion”. There are magnificent views of the sunrise over the Lassithi Mountains from the 20m2 courtyard.

Next door is the traditional tavern of Chrysanthi and Kostas. They are friends of mine, the prices are great at the welcome unforgettable. Katalagari is a small traditional cretan town, just two km from the village of Archanes where you can find everything you may need: shops, supermarkets, restaurants and cultural life.
In Katalagari there is a small market just walking distance from the apartment and the friendly taverna of Chrysanthi, next door.

Travel Details from the host -> After travelling around the world I decided to settle down in my home town while keeping my home in Crete as well, where I have my most beloved friends. I chose this place to be away from the tourist areas but not too far from the best beaches and traditional little towns. My job gives me free time during the winter which I spend mostly in Katalagari, although I still like travelling to other places: my last trip was to Brasil. One of my best friends in the island will meet you at the airport, like that I am helping him in this difficult moments the country is going through. He is the one in charge!
