From there, one can walk east to Kalamaki resort which boasts a number of sheltered sandy beaches, mini markets, as well as seafront tavernas along the gently shelving beach. Stalos is 1 km west with its long sandy beach and numerous tourists' shops and eating-places.
You can use the villa as a base to explore ancient, rural and modern Crete, or simply to relax by the pool and allow the place's magic, to restore your energy.
But then it's only 10 min drive to Chania, (a town that stays alive even in winter), where you can enjoy a rich nightlife, good food, shops and marketplaces.
