In a calm building along the river Saone, come discover the Lyon way of life while I'm myself away on a trip. Being quite the epicurian, I can recommend some restaurants, some shops, some walks and visits. Don't hesitate to ask.

The flat is a 2 bedroom apartment right next to the centre of Lyon, in a really quiet building. You'll be able to sleep quietly while enjoying the busy central areas of Lyon in a a few minutes walk.
And most of all, you'll get to enjoy the lovely banks of the Saone river and its coloured building eache time you step out of the apartment !

The Vieux Lyon neighbourhood is a Renaissance area with beautiful coloured buildings along the Seine. I advise to visit it in the morning, especially in Summer, to see the inhabitants and enjoy the beautiful buildings without too many tourists. On the other bank of the Saone, you can see the Croix Rousse hill which slopes were the heart of the silk weaving industry in the 17th, 18th and early 19th century and are now a hipster friendly area, full of nice cafés, delicious food shops and, of course, designer and biking shops.
Further south, you can discover the "Presqu'ile" with the Opera, Town Hall, The Bellecour square. Don't hesitate to try the Saint-Antoine market on the banks of the river (especially on week-ends), it's a nice way to get an overview of the local gastronomy.
