Neighborbood Overview:

It is very easy to access the center of Paris from this neighborhood, but on top the area happens to count itself a lot of great places.
First you have the Père Lachaise cemetery 5 min walk away, but not only :)
There is also the "Village de Charonne". The name of this small area comes from the time when the place was still a small village in the countryside and it happens to still look this way even if it was attached to Paris by Napoleon III since 1860.
If you're into green spaces, go walk in "La campagne à Paris" area. The name of the place means 'The countryside in Paris", which gives you a good idea of the concept :) The place was created in 1907 by a pastor named Sully Lombard to enable low-income families to become house owners. Well obviously this it is not the case anymore considering the price of property in Paris, but the neighborhood is open to walking and full of great houses with beautiful gardens.
