Welcome to a little piece of heaven in the very heart of Paris.

After years of living in the city of light, my husband Matteo and I found our dream home in the Parisian 5th arrondissement, within a late-19th-century haussmanian building in perfect state. We are renting a typical Parisian studio, or "Chambre de bonne", just above our apartment but with total independence.

We have an un-beatable location that connects you to all main sights yet still feels local and authentic.

The space
The studio is small, cozy and functional, it can host up to two guests, with a real bed that can become a double. It is located a the 6th floor of the building (we have an elevator up to the 5th floor, so just 1 flight of stairs to get there !).
You have your own toilet and shower, with an additional external toilet in the lobby shall you want to use it. You have a new (and super silent) fridge, a hot plate, cooking ware and a microwave. While being at walking distance of many of the main Parisian landmarks (Notre Dame, Le Marais, Panthéon, Luxembourg Gardens, Hotel de Ville...) the studio is placed in the area of the Latin Quarter where Parisians live.

We are absolutely in love with our neighbourhood and if on top of your sightseeing, you are looking for a true local experience we will love to help you discover its delights: The local baker where you can buy warm bread all day, the artisan cheese shops, a bistrot wine cave nextdoor, tons of nice non-touristy restaurants with great food, one of the oldest local markets at Place Maubert three times per week, and much much more!

Every visit to Paris is magic and we hope our 5th Heaven will make it also unforgettable!

Travel Details from the host -> My name is Cristina, I grew up in sunny Madrid, Spain and have been living in Paris for the last 20 years. I've also spent short periods of time living in Italy and California. I'm married to Matteo, a wonderful Italian man, whom I adore and want to grow old with. He is an engineer and digital entrepreneur. He loves scuba-diving and running marathons, and I believe he has some magical power that makes children and animals always so comfortable around him! On my side, I love long walks, cooking, reading in a lazy Sunday afternoon just to relax and spending time with the lovely people in my life doing anything that seems fun. Work-wise I was a designer for 10 years in the tech industry. Some years ago I decided to focus on my art practice and I now have my own studio. My work combines painting and drawing with electronics performance and installations. Matteo and I are an incurable optimists, and you'll see us smiling more often than not. We highly value honesty, respect, tolerance and courage. We enjoy being with people and are very sociable (We both speak fluent English, Spanish, Italian and French which helps when travelling) though we also relish and understand the need for moments of quietness and solitude. When we travel we avoid doing crazy kodak-moment tourism. We'd rather see less cities or monuments and try to stay enough time in one place, so we can get a feel of it and what it has to offer and how people live there. In 2011 we tried Airbnb for a business trip to San Francisco and have never looked back to hotels. We decided to renovate a little studio on top of our apartment. Since then have been the lucky hosts of many wonderful guests, we love meeting so many people from all over the world and feel lucky to belong to such a special community!
