The apartment's location is most probably the best in Athens. The neighborhood is Thission, a residential area, the most appealing of all for visitors as much as for Athenians, in the heart of the historic centre. It combines the characteristics of the mid 19th century through the neoclassical residencies which are being continuously preserved, with the proximity to the most important archaeological sites through pedestrian streets and some of the most beautiful walks in any European capital, as well as the ultra-hip surrounding areas to eat, shop and walk around. A large choice of cafes, traditional taverns and restaurants as well as local shops offer visitors the option to spend time in the neighborhood if they please and acquire the inside knowledge of Athens! The apartment’s location is real close to the major attractions but outside the touristy mass or city noise so even the owner is still often taken by surprise from the calm it offers.

Travel Details from the host I've had the pleasure of welcoming visitors at the Acropolis Unique Residence Apartments (A.U.R.A), our privately owned apartment building in Thission - Athens, for the last few years.
