Bed Stuy, Brooklyn is an exciting neighborhood and my family and thousands of others like us have enjoyed watching Bed Stuy develop into a delightful cultural mixing pot. We feel so lucky to be part of this neighborhood and have decided to raise a family here.

Bed Stuy is full of rich history and is in constant transition. Artists, chefs and young entrepreneurs now have a strong foothold in this part of BK and are proud to call Bed Stuy home! This is reflected in the stylish touches to classic homes that Bed Stuy is famous for and dining experiences in restaurants with that authentic charm that is becoming increasingly rare in NYC!

Travel Details from the host

We both grew up in Hawaii and are now educators. My husband, Carsten speaks Danish and a little German and I speak Spanish fluently. We love delicious food and we are constantly exploring where to eat, especially in Brooklyn, but also in Manhattan and Queens. My husband is a musician, that is why the photos show the drum set and guitars. I love salsa dancing, and just dancing in general. We have 2 miniature poodles and a baby. Between the 2 of us, we have traveled to many different places around the world including Spain, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Germany, Austria, Korea, Mexico and more. When we travel, we are terrible tourists and end up being more interested in life of the local people, especially the food of the locals. Unfortunately, we usually end up neglecting the major sights! Oops!
