Koukaki is a fashionable , safe and sought-after neighbourhood of central Athens. Located below the Acropolis and close to metro, tram and bus links. Within walking distance of the Acropolis museum, the pedestrian Avenue of Dionysiou Areopagitou, Plaka, Monistaraki, Syntagma Square and of course the Panathinaiko Stadium.
The neighbourhood is full of beautiful old neo-classical buildings with a number of small shops owned by craftsmen selling their handmade products of Greece. Cafes, small supermarkets and bakeries offering their freshly baked breads, sweets and handmade foods are in abundance. Each Friday the area hosts a large fresh fruit and vegetable market. Koundouriotou Square at the end of Veikou Street, offers a local playground with activities for young children, is open to the public and securely fenced around.

I am Susan, born in Sheffield, England and a resident of Athens for the last 35 years. I worked in the tourism industry from 1984 until my retirement in 2016. I enjoy meeting new people, chatting about places near and far, as well as appreciating good food and wine. Alex is a dual national Greek/British, educated in both Athens and London having gained his Post Graduate Degree in International Business Management. He also worked in the travel industry, in London, having now relocated to back to Athens. Alex’s hobbies include travelling, music and sport. Our target is to provide our guests, both business and leisure, with 5 star quality and service; aiming for both a pleasurable stay with us and to return home with lasting memories of an enjoyable trip to Athens.
