The apartment is located on the 6th and last floor walk up of the building. It is pretty standard for all Parisian building to not have an elevator.

Neighborbood Overview:

The apartment is located in the center of Paris, 2nd arrondissement. Very safe & secure neighborhood where one can come & go at night without any trouble. Rue du Caire is an extremely quiet street in the evening .
The apt is very well serviced with transports as well: 3 Metros surround it; all at a 3 minute walk's distance. From it's location, you are quickly at Chatelet, Strasbourg St Denis, Gare du Nord, Le Marais, The Seine river, Beaubourg, etc..
The apartment is 2 minutes walking distance from rue Montorgueil and its wonderful food stands, cafes, bar and restaurant. Strasbourg St- Denis and its great new trendy cafés and restaurants are only a short 8 minutes walk! Rue du nil (Frenchie/ Frenchie to go) is also just around the corner.
The Marais, Centre Georges Pompidou, Republique, hotel de ville, Chatelet, Les Halles are all walking distance!
A Velib' (share bike) station is located at the entrance of the building.
