Popular but not unsafe.
Château-Rouge is located in between the rue de Clignancourt to the east, and gate to the Basilique du Sacré Coeur ans the artistic area of Montmartre, and the Marx Dormoy to the west, home of many French immigrants making it a very multicultural suburb.
Also called "Little Sénégal", it gathers African populations, sharing with us their culture through street markets, wax shops, haridressers and food shops.
