The architecture in Croix-Rousse is particularly characterised by the very high ceilings. This has a historical origin. The 4 metre high looms of the Canuts made this construction method necessary. That is why today we have beautiful flats all over Croix-Rousse, which are called studios here. We find them not only on the slopes of the Croix-Rousse hill, but also in the beautiful artists' quarter where our apartment is located. In the studios there is a mezzanine, a mezzanine level, if you like, a shortened second floor in the flat where the bed is traditionally located. The beautiful thing about our apartment is especially the original stone wall from the 17th century and our freshly painted kitchen which is separated from the living room. The surrounding area is Croix-Rousse is characterized by the traditional cuisine of Lyon and art.
