Very center of Paris (2nd arr.) : one flight up from ground floor, in a 17th century building, the apartment is in the garment district, just a three-minute walk from the hip, lively, and 'local' Montorgueil pedestrian area, with its great choice of restaurants, shops, bars, and open air fruit & vegetable markets.
The Garnier Opera House, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores are a five-minute walk ; the Louvre, ten. Métro stops Strasbourg-St Denis and Bonne Nouvelle: 1min.
The space
High ceilings, solid wood floors, double exposed corner living room with charming street view, 7-foot tall French windows, the apartment is furnished mainly with French provincial furniture (except in the Master Bedroom, where I had a groovy mid-century moment). All the window treatments are custom made.
