Each flat has a key safe so that individual check-in is possible at any time of the day or night. It is advisable to always leave the second key in the key safe to prevent locking yourself out and not being able to get in (has happened to me too)!
There are around 5 parking spaces available for car parking, along the house wall and gardens. Because we are the last house in a cul-de-sac and the road is wide enough, traffic is not hindered. Moreover, this is the usual practice in the area.

The Carob Garden Guesthouse is situated in a quarter where Cretan families are living. As it is the last house at a small dead-end-road, it is very quiet, especially during the night. To the long beach it is just 300 meters, and any kind of shops, market, taverns, medical services etc. are within 1 km distance available.

Travel Details from the host -> Hallo, ich bin dein Gastgeber im Carob Garden Guesthouse in Makry-Gialos (Lassithi) auf der Insel Kreta. Dort verbringe ich etwa die Hälfte des Jahres. Ansonsten lebe ich im Berner Seeland in der Schweiz. Am liebsten bin ich in der Natur und zeige dir gerne die ausserordentlichen Schönheiten Kretas, wenn ich dort bin. Das Thema Nachhaltigkeit begleitet mich seit meinem Forststudium und ist mehr als ein Modewort für mich, weshalb ich versuche so umweltfreundlich wie möglich zu leben (ich bin mir bewusst, dass die Flüge nach Kreta eine Ausnahme sind). Wenn ich selbst auf Reisen bin, nutze ich ebenfalls Airbnb und schätze den Kontakt mit den Leuten vor Ort.
