The space
The Kamara House is a stone-made residence located in the heart of the picturesque village of Vrachasi, in Lasithi Crete. It was built in 2012 on the foundations of a traditional Cretan 18th century house, of which remained standing only the “kamara”, a semicircular arch made of stone which is a characteristic feature of the Cretan folk architecture.

Next to the tree there are two natural springs, one of which is still in use today. As the stonework around the springs reveals, this is the oldest recorded area of Vrachasi.
