Plakias village is located 36 km south of the town of Rethymno (approximately 40 min. by car). You can reach our residences either by Chania Airport (approximately 90 min. by car) or Heraklion Airport (approximately 120 min. by car).
Plakias is built in the exit of a rich valley, surrounded by tall mountains and dense olive grove. Most of the houses are located near the small port of Plakias, surrounding the big arc-shaped bay. If you are fascinated by the panoramic view of the sea, you can visit the small village of Myrthios, up in the cliffs above Plakias, with an amazing view towards it.
A panoramic view is also offered from Sellia, another small village near Plakias.
At Plakias village, you will find everything you need, as there are a lot of shops and super-markets, rental and tourist offices.

Travel Details from the host -> Hello there, I am Manos, owner and manager of CreteVillas4U. I have been in the hospitality sector long before CreteVillas4U, however. I was actually born, grew up, and spent most of my life in a hotel owned by my family. You can study to be a hotel manager but you cannot study to be hospitable. I apply this philosophy in my business as well. The rule is simple: the guests of the villas I manage are my guests. As an active traveller, I expect nothing less myself. The fourth generation of Dafermos hoteliers has already been born. I know now that my two beautiful children will probably follow my steps, like I did before them. There is a small difference though: they are smarter, more educated, better (big smile).
