Analipsi is a small seaside village about 20-minutes east of Heraklion, the capital city of Crete. Unlike busier and larger towns beset by mass tourism, Analipsi has managed to remain true to its origins and somewhat quieter. Whitewashed cottages, typical of Cycladic architecture, dot the village roads and line the main kilometer-long road leading to a lovely sandy beach.
