Kalamaki is 6km west of the venetian city of Chania. Kalamaki (Kato Galatas) is the name given to the region of Galatas located next to the beach. It is a popular location for both tourists and locals alike as there are long stretches of beach in either direction from this property. Looking out from the property you will see the beach of Galaros just to the right of the property, this beach connects with another beautiful beach called agio apostoli. Together, these expanses of beaches form a beautiful and idyllic place for rest and relaxation. They are mostly well organised with umbrellas and sunbeds during the summer months and it is a great location if you’d like to explore the island as its also close to the main national road.
There are many hotels, resorts and tavernas in this area because of its beauty and location from the centre of the city. Because it is quite a touristic area there are many mini markets, convenience stores and necessary services within this area.
