In just 8 km distance east from the capital city of Rethymnon (Rethimno), Crete, lies the traditional village of Pigi, where "The Griffins' Treasure" Farmhouse nestles. 80 cm-thick raw stone walls lined with mortar, a characteristic element of traditional Cretan architecture that ensures a natural, ecologically sound air-conditioning of the house, keeping it cool in summer and quite warm on even the colder winter days.
