Today there are about 700 people in the village of Roussospiti. There are two churches in the village, the old “Isodou Theotokou” and the “Agia Paraskevi”, where every Sunday a Greek-orthodox mass is celebrated. “Agia (Saint) Paraskevi” is the patron saint of the village, and on July 26, her name day, there is a big village celebration.
In Roussospiti there is a kindergarten and a primary school for the local children. There is also a Minimarket, a “kafenion”, a kiosk and two “tavernas” for the benefit of locals and visitors alike. Only 5 klm from Rethymnon town and the beach it gives you an ideal position of holidays.

Travel Details from the host -> Hello there, I am Manos, owner and manager of CreteVillas4U. I have been in the hospitality sector long before CreteVillas4U, however. I was actually born, grew up, and spent most of my life in a hotel owned by my family. As an active traveller, I expect nothing less myself. The fourth generation of Dafermos hoteliers has already been born. I know now that my two beautiful children will probably follow my steps, like I did before them. There is a small difference though: they are smarter, more educated, better (big smile).
