Built in 1610 at the request of Kind Henri IV, Place Dauphine is an ideal place to be immersed in all the history, charm and beauty that Paris has to offer, full of trees and a few perfectly placed benches to sit and take in the atmosphere. It is also a popular spot for locals to play a game of the traditional French game pétanque, which you can watch in the square or listen to from your window. The area is also popular with lawyers who work nearby at the Palais de Justice, so there are excellent cafés and restaurants to enjoy.
