The closest beach is Kalathas but the whole peninsula is easy to explore with beach areas such as Stavros and Marathi close by. Chania town with its venetian harbour and winding lanes is a mere 20 minute drive away, waiting to be explored. Local restaurants and tavernas are scattered throughout the peninsula and Chania town offers an amazing array of restaurants from fine dining to traditional Cretan tavernas. Being just 20 minutes from the national highway, it is easy to explore the surrounding area with its archeological sites, waterpark, beaches, gorges and villages.
