Lotza is a traditional two-roomed house set in the beautiful mountain village of Salakos, which has been restored with great love.

For those wishing to escape the mainstream tourist areas, Salakos is ideal for immersing yourself in tradition, and nature, yet ideally and centrally located to visit all the main attractions and beaches that Rhodes has to offer.

Rhodes less touristy west coast is rich with the natural countryside, olive groves, vineyards and farming land and boasts many natural springs, walking trails and popular cycling routes.

The nearest beaches are only ten minutes away by car, and the archaeological site of Ancient Kamaros is only 7kms away.

Travel Details from the host -> Hi I am Kristi and together with my husband, Georgios, and our two grown up children, Stamatia and Agoustinos, we have lovingly restored and renovated Georgios's Giagia's (Grandmothers) traditional home. It is a family project that we are very proud of and we very much look forward to welcoming our guests. George and I grew up in the beautiful mountain village of Salakos and our Grandmother's lived next to each other, so we both have happy memories of visiting our Giagia's and playing in the little narrow street where donkeys and goats roamed, while our Giagia's sat outside their houses sharing the village gossip. I was still only in my teens when we became sweethearts and we eventually married. Now we live in Rhodes Town. We still love to return to Salakos as a family to stay in Giagias house and visit our children's Giagias! Each winter, like everyone in the village, we pick our olives for the next year's supply of olive oil and enjoy the incredible tasting fruit and vegetables of the local area. I have a lifetime of hospitality experience and know-how important it is to exceed our guest's expectations and extend our traditional warm Greek hospitality. Indeed, the villagers of Salakos are also known for their warm and welcoming ways, so don't be surprised if you receive fruit or vegetables from your neighbours while staying in our traditional home. Annie is our co-host and lives in Salakos, so she will meet you on arrival to welcome you to Lotza traditional house. Annie is originally from Scotland and also has a lifetime of hospitality experience. She came to Salakos for a holiday, a few years ago, and fell in love with the village so much that she decided to make it her permanent home... We are sure that you too will fall in love with our beautiful little village...
