The apartment has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are equipped with queen-sized beds, 1 with double bed, all with orthopedic mattresses, clothing hangers and reading lights. Each room has it's own entrance to balconies that circle the apartment. You may also be provided with a baby cradle upon request. In total, the apartment can host up to 9 adults and 1 baby.

Kypseli used to be the upscale neighbourhood of Athens, which had in its premises many art galleries, historic cafés and restaurants, as well as the houses of some of the most prominent families in the city. It was the ‘Upper East Side’ of Athens ;)

After the 80’s the demographics changed and Kypseli kept its vintage character, its nice people and cute little cafés, many of which are situated around the ‘green oasis’ of Fokionos Negri. Furthermore, Fokionos Negri is well known for its variety of restaurants, bars and small shops – all found a stone’s throw away from the apartment (1 min walking).

While walking around the neighbourhood during the daytime, you will see and meet a variety of people; from businessmen and students to newly established families. In general, Kypseli is inhabited by people with a broad variety of looks, backgrounds and cultures - few of which can be described as 'just another tourist' :)

Travel Details from the host -> I am a 30 years old, finishing my master's degree in Global Development Management at the University of Kristiansand, Norway. What I enjoy most in life is interacting with people and experiencing new things with others. I am curious and open-minded by nature, and love experiencing new food, people and every other experience that nature and culture has to offer. The hobbies that take up most of my time (next to my studies), relates to challenges which are shared by people regardless of national boundaries, such as; [geo-]politics, conflicts, climate and the 'human condition'. When it comes to travelling, it is my impression that all destinations that reach a certain amount of popularity, inevitably ends up professionalising tourism and thus hollowing out what visitors would like to experience, leading to commodification rather than natural interactions. As such, I always do my best to seek out the sides, parts and places of any destination that I perceive to be as 'local' as possible - otherwise all that is obtained is people attempting to paint a picture they think one wants to see - rather than the cultured and local experiences one is actually after. As a general perspective, I prefer to focus on what we as members of this precious planet all share in common, rather than what sets us apart based on differences in culture, religion and our unique traditions. Respect, peace, love and prosperity to all - regardless of any specifications each of us may carry :)
