The guest house is part of a small family house complex, located in the settlement of Megalo Livadi, on the hill above Kountouro bay, on the southwest side of the island.
The sandy beach with natural shade from the tamarisk trees, the clear and shallow waters and the two taverns by the sea are 5 minutes away by car.
In the settlement, opposite the church of Agios Nikolaos you can visit the old mines, which once offered prosperity to the island. The violent episodes of the historic strike to improve the working conditions of the miners and the establishment of the eight-hour workday also took place there in August 1916. The sunset behind the loading bridge (landmark of the settlement), combined with the natural landscape and the remnants of mining activity left to the ravages of time and the elements of nature, is a spectacle that fascinates the visitor. I grew up in Athens, and Serifos has been my summer destination since I was a kid, mainly staying at my family house in Mega Livadi. As I was growing older so was my desire to explore this magnificent island. What I grew to realise was that this island has a little gem hidden behind every hill, in every bay, in every little village.
