Neighborbood Overview:

Very lively and central, perfect to discover Paris ! The appartment is at 2 steps from the Seine River Bank, 10 mn walk from Notre-Dame cathedral and the Louvre... You'll find everything you need in the neighborhood : a supermarket (open until 11pm), loads of restaurants and cafés

History.
Le Pont Neuf, meaning the "new bridge" is the oldest Bridge in Paris, finished under the reign of Henri IV in 1607.

The rue Dauphine and our building were created in thoses years in extension of the bridge. The name was giving in honor of Henri IV's son, "le dauphin", who become later Louis XIII, the father of Louis the XIV.

A youthful district.
When the Sorbonne was founded in 1257 it attracted a lot of young scholars speaking latin, the district is still known as the "Quartier Latin".

Through the centuries the area keep a youthful spirit.

In the 1940, for exemple, the "Zazou's" young dandy's name after a 1938 Swing song, "Zah Zuh Z
