My home is a place for rest, creation, meditation and... exploration of Lyon, French capital of gastronomy.
It’s an appartement in the cute, historical and lively district of Croix-Rousse.
The place is a small duplex with kitchen, living room, bathroom and toilets downstairs and a room upstairs.
There are plenty of art books, novels, poetry, drawings, inks and artifacts from the place I lived before around the world. It is also filled with a nice cosy feeling. And... a hammock !

The space
It’s a wonderful studio to live in as a individual or a couple (35 m2).

My home is filled with light from two huge windows in the typical canut style (4m under the ceiling!) with ceramic floor and wooden ceiling. I love my neighborhood! I would live in no other district in Lyon. It’s central, 15 min walk from the extra centre, but gives you the feeling of a busy village of the South. I always feel in holiday here.

Ever since the 19th century, the Croix-Rousse district has been known as "the hill that works", while the Fourvière district, was baptised "the hill that prays". The Croix-Rousse was formerly the neighbourhood of Lyon's silk manufacturers, and during the 19th century it reverberated with the sounds of the "bistanclaques", an onomatopoeic name given to the weaving looms by the inhabitants of the city.

With 30,000 canuts (name given to the silk workers in Lyon) the district was a hive of activity, and the city itself a major hub for textiles in Europe. Modern-day visitors are invited to stroll through the area to discover its true essence and the many colored buildings specially built to house the weaving looms, amid a maze of traboules and stairwells.
